The weekend is here and today Liverpool is celebrating Gay pride!
This year the theme is ‘Love Is No Crime’ and the day starts with the Pride Muster on St George’s Plateau at 10:30am followed by the parade at 12:00, which will be doing a loop around the city centre. It will be starting and finishing at St George’s Hall, see the route here. There will be a balloon release at St John’s Gardens, at the end of the parade as well as an afternoon of activities including the Pride Pink Picnic, check out the days activities here.
Two of the city’s favourite clubs, Gbar & Garlands present ‘Eberle St Pride’, with an outdoor car park stage and both clubs open from 2pm, that’s 8 rooms and an outdoor stage of music, dancing and LOVE!!! Join the fun and share the joy, celebrating the right to be you, a fabulous individual with the opportunity to spend the day celebrating with other fabulous individuals. There will be plenty of music, with dj’s Sam Divine, Juliet Fox, Lauren Lo Sung, Dave Booth, Mr. X and The Vivienne to name a few so don’t forget your dancing shoes!
Admission to the street party and into both clubs during the daytime is free, with entry charges into both clubs starting at 10:30pm.
Also on today and tonight is Modu:lar open air – w/ martinez, francesco del garda and friends at Constellations. Making use of the their great outdoor space (cross your fingers for sunshine) and holding the event in both indoor and outdoor areas. There are not many tickets left, if your quick you can get them here. Doors open at 2pm, with last entry at 6pm and you can party until 4am:-)
The Magnet is having it’s first mini Ska Fest, ‘Summer Ska Fest feat Beat Goes Bang’ is on tonight from 7pm. Joining Beat Goes Bang is the Scottish four piece Urang Matang and local act Bolshy. It’s £10 a ticket, on sale here. Last entry is at 9:30pm.
