It’s nearly the weekend and with rumours of a heat-wave we are getting excited! This weekend the summer fun continues indoors, outdoors and everywhere else with food fun, carnivals and garden parties.
The bombed out church is partying again this weekend with the Fiesta Bombarda carnival taking place over two days. The
Hackney Colliery Band will be providing the entertainment with their amazing brass band style. We love a good remix, check out their version of Rolling in the Deep below.
Tonight the Kazimier is hosting the abandon silence dimensions festival launch party and it’s the last one of the year! This one’s a special one as they join up with Croatia’s Dimensions festival. The party starts 10pm.

It’s shake shake time again tonight as The Arts club host Chibuku Shake shake for the last time this summer. Get your house music fix with dj’s Breach, Dj EZ, Dense & Pika, Wookie to name a few. Tickets available here.
And finally since its Friday it means… FOODSLAM!!! Camp n furnace are providing food, drink and this week the theme is ‘Liverpool Calling’ , celebrating the many musical talents that this city has produced.
We are so excited for Saturday’s Baltic Garden Party, held at Constellations and set to be a day full of fun! The event is a collaboration between Hot Plate and Dot and you will be able to find us sunning ourselves in the outside garden area, sunglasses on, cocktail in hand and probably doing some adventurous (shady) dance moves as the day goes on. There are only a few tickets left so be quick if you want to join us there. We can expect electronic dance music (Submotion orchestra will be live), cocktails and some street food to boot! Tickets are £14 +booking fee and the event is on 2pm – 12am.
If you’re looking for somewhere to carry on your saturday night then just around the corner is the visiting pop-up Gin bar. You can find the Botanical garden on New Bird street and expect to feel whimsical as you enter the gin garden, the space is a mix of natures beauty and manmade creativity (the perfect match). Look out for the Gin Lane sign and enter with a smile:-)
If you need to refuel at some point then head on over and try Bold Street’s newest resident Miyagi’s restaurant, which has been getting some pretty fabulous reviews. We can’t wait to try some of their soul food and will be trying to squeeze a visit in as soon as possible (we will tell you all about it when we do).
Club night WAXX is back as Nation host their 90’s Summer Jam and they have mentioned a bouncy castle AND pink limo’s!!! Does it get any better, well yeah because we have also heard about some classic trackies doing the rounds! Can’t wait to see the photo’s from this club night.
