The weekend is here and it is going to be full of music, dancing, and probably one too many eggs! If you were lucky to have today off, you will be rested and ready for what is to come. Liverpool is full of good food, music, dancing, and celebrating this Easter. Friday Hot Plate and Madnice present the Garden Get-Together featuring a Nightmares on Wax DJ set. Ghostpoet has just release an album ‘Shedding Skin’ in the beginning of March 2015. Tickets are £13. This would be a nice way to start the weekend. Saturday Freeze Liverpool & Official Cream take over The Asylum in Newsham Park, this is one not to be missed! This brings you 16 hours of great music and more than enough dancing. Checking out The Asylum is not to be missed! We’re viewing this rainy weather as a chance to put on your favourite new spring items and mix and match them with a fabulous jacket!
Sunday Sunday is packed with super celebrations, both of Easter and of most you having another day off! It all kicks off with the Liverpool Food & Drink Spring Festival in Sefton Park. This would be an excellent thing to start your Sunday off, with family and friends. There are a bunch of fabulous food stalls including a heavenly chocolate garden, this is a spring taste adventure! We suggest checking out Glitterarti Parties. You can have tea with Alice! Pagoda is having an Easter Sunday free party at 24 Kitchen Street! Free entry before 11 and only £5 after. They are offering a night of grooves from house, techno, funk, and soul. Heebie Jeebie’s is having an Easter Fair with live music, fire dancing, stilt walking and all of the Easter celebrations. They are serving up alcoholic hot chocolate, making sure we all stay warm. From 2 til 8 there will be live music and 20 local businesses. These range from tattoo studio 13 Ink to Tropic which sells vegan skin care products. RaveFace will be there delighting us with her incredible body and face painting! She transforms faces and bodies into even more whimsical creatures! She is someone we would love to paint eggs with.To top this event off, it is free! Hustle returns on an Easter Sunday at Magnet. Put on your disco or dancing shoes as there is usually tunes playing until early in the morning. The internationally renown Yousef is returning to his home town with Circus which is presenting Yousef b2b Eats Everything and more. Last December at Circus did a b2b set with Nic Fanciulli. This is a bank holiday special full of dancing potential and a chance to hear some amazing tunes.
There just might be too much choice this Easter bank holiday! We recommend to get involved and just keep celebrating. Also try not to feel guilty if you eat one too many eggs!
