On Saturday, Camp and Furnace held Laces Out! Trainer festival. We ditched the heels and put on our favourite trainers. It was full of all good things… sneakers, good food, art, and music! It was out first time at Laces Out! We figured we might as well start with trainers. Like birds, our eyes went straight to the shiny! We spotted these Nike Air Max 1 Silver trainers at the Sneaker Circus stall. These would be a perfect edition to our wardrobe! Sneaker Circus is a sneaker auction website where all auctions start at just 1p! We also loved Nike’s Air Footscape Woven Chukka Rainbow trainers.
MyDopeSocks had a table full of bright coloured and funky socks. They are a UK based company which that make a range of bold printed socks. We loved their table! Ropes Laces showcased ways to accessorise any trainer with a bunch of lace colour and shape choices. We love their glow in the dark laces. Their laces offer a way could reinvent that old pair of trainers in your wardrobe. Our favourite find at Laces Out! was Krate & Co. At first glance we appreciated the see through crates allowing you too see the shoes inside. However after taking a closer looking we realised that these are much more… they are the perfect time saving solution when getting ready. If your like us and keep your trainers (or heels) in their boxes, these would allow you to skip the part where you have to pull down and open every box before going out! They also allow you to show off your favourite shoe gems.
Laces Out! had lots of food stalls but we are glad we chose to get a burger from Barnhouse Bistro. The steak burger with cheese and all the sauces on a jalapeno corn bread bun was excellent. While we ate we enjoyed the music from Mighty Mojo and admired the trainers hung from the ceiling. We walked the burger off by exploring the other room where we found Kick Posters which is a Manchester based company which creates sneaker illustrations and limited edition posters. They would make a good edition to any sneaker fan’s home or office. Next to the Kick Poster stall there was an over-sized Adidas shoe box which was being sold as a table, we think it would be ideal for hiding in. Overall we had a quality time at Laces Out! Trainer festival and we are already looking forward to the next one.
